TOO TRUE... Seasons is the best shit man. But hell awaits, live undead (haunting the chapel best song ever), south of heaven, reign in blood and show no mercy are essential to own.
And to everyone who hasn't seen them or don't like them that are on this forum....... call yourself thrash? haha. oh dear...
you only need to see them once... everytime i seen slayer its not a case of whether they was good or shit... you either get slayer or slayer... love it!!!
trivium can suck my ass... actually fuck the unholy alliance tour completely.
i see slayer nearly 10 years ago... ozzfest at its best.

An it would appear that according to The Guardian Slayer fans are the most intense and least rational.

Of course the actual article is peppered with bullshit

Incorrect!

Reign in Blood is better. Seasons in the Abyss automatically loses points for Skeletons of Society.

Seasons is perfection.
Reign in Blood is better than perfection.

It's the only metal album that I literally cannot turn off. Once one track plays I have to listen to the rest.

It is indeed the Superhans bassloop of the metal world.

I like Seasons and I think it surpasses South of Heaven but I would not put the album top by a long way.

What's the problem with Skeletons of Society, isn't its main riff essentially from Blood Red anyway. Why is one ok and the other shit?

There's an unseen fortune under their belts
Are golden temples a symbol of God's way
This horde of wealth is a sickening display"

Darkweasel wrote:I think Christ Illusion was unfairly slated. It's far better than Diabolous and GHUA and the drumming on Cult is Lombardo at his best. Forget all these blastbeat merchants who seem to think playing 1000bpm is the best way to show aggression. Lombardo lets songs breathe by creating space and atmosphere. He makes the drums part of the composition rather than just playing everything as fast as he can on top of it for the entire duration.

With this i couldn't agree more, Lombardo is one of a rare breed of metal drummers that play for the RIFF and the SONG and can generate far more emotion and feeling with their playing than any straightforward speed merchant can.
I'd also put Tom Hunting, Paul Bostaph and Igor Cavalera in this group too.
