Good luck, and while yo are at it share some of your finding with the rest of us. I for one am very interested an artists involved with music or fantasy. For one Dorian Clevenger who did the last danzig album is one of the top fantasy artists, or Boris Vallejo who did both the Ozzy album The Ultimate Sin and Flotsam and Jetsam album No Place For Disgrace.

Fuck!!! I didn't know Repka had done that many covers!!!!!

Yup, and I have the feeling I'm missing a lot more! Just to clarify, the list above isn't of what I actually own. I only have 12-15 of those LPs... for now!
Y'know, I've always wanted to be a fan boy. Maybe this is my calling.

I am a big fantasy art fan, and have loads of books by artists such as boris vallejo, roger dean, alan craddock, alan lee, rodney mathews, h r geiger etc etc. I have never seen a book yet of repkas artwork but would love one, even though he is far from the best artist out there. Same with dan seagrave who has done covers like morbid angel, lawnmower deth, entombed, pestilence, gorguts etc. I also like some of Lawveres covers (kreator, warrant, deathrow etc) although he is also responsible for the awful "dethroned emperor" art too!!!
Here is a great Rodney Mathews cover

Another bloody good artist, i read somewhere "that he takes everyday things and then exaggertes re-arange and changed out of recognition, by manipulating the shapes and colours" It is a quote from an art book i own. He does a really goos job. He is reponsible for quite a few Magnum album covers. His art is worth checking out.

Unlike most Magnum albums, although I have soft spot for On A Storytellers Night.

I think my favourite work of his is Game Over - it is probably one of the most evocative and powerful metal covers, full stop.
I'm not a big fan of his typical brightly-coloured city scenes though, he tends to do very similar things - Certainly not one of my favourite artists.
And I pretty much agree with whoever mentioned From Beyond, it's quite horrendous really.
