check out a young Donnie Yen in his 2nd film, also directed by Yuen Woo Ping of matrix and kill bill fame.
this is so bad but i love it! a kung fu breakdancing comedy featuring remote control cars. nothing else like it out there(for obvious reasons)even thier attempt at a wicked beat/soundtrack is so uncool.
after it failed big time in box office takings,i think the director and star realised that the chinese action movies should just stick to kung fu for the time being and leave hiphop and breakdancing the american b-boyz.
these first 10mins are hilarious.also throughtout the film its ridiculously painfully funny.its on youtube in 10 parts if anyone cares funniest part is at 4:40 with the remote control car

HAHA,although the soundtrack is cheesy, its embarassingly catchy

if you liked that, then heres some more standout bits

this is quality, the old man gets out his even bigger ghetto blaster and shows the young punk how its done but then the leader of the bad crew comes along in his tracksuit....with built in speakers! wow awesome id love to wear one of those on the tube.
also in this clip is a tennis match where Donnie cant be bothered to use a racket so he uses his BMX!!!!

at around 1:00 heres the most romantic movie scene of all time.
note that the old man in the thick glasses is actually yuen Woo Ping.he is rarely in front of the camera bar a few movies.he is usually directing and fight choreographing

Yes,
Donnie dress in new romantic style [think about old duran duran]
uses his BMX to play tennis is unbelieveable....

I watched this movie for four times I guess

I'm not a fan of his new works [I dislike his flashy/exaggerate kung fu style]
but I love this one,
always thinking about ask him to sign my unmatched couples dvd when I have chance to met him
wanna see his face reaction

if you love Donnie Yen check out his best 80s movies: tiger cage 2 and In the line of duty 4.
for his modern stuff, dragon tiger gate is awesome and one of my faves and also SPL,flashpoint and Ip Man 1 + 2 are amazing too.

im not always into special effects,or too much wire work BUT D.Yen always seems to enhance the fights when he uses either, and he doesnt make it too OTT or ridiculously superhuman etc.

the only thing i dont like in some martial arts movies is when they crank up the camera speed.if you see Donnys Iron Monkey,Once upon a time in china or Wing Chun its just annoying when the fights look like someone has accidentally hit the fast forward button.way too fast and unnatural.it should have benny Hill music in the background.

i prefer Donnies urban movies in general compared to the traditional/costume period ones
(apart from Ip Man 1+2 as they are amazing)

haha yeah BloodKrishna:it would be funny to get that signed by him as i bet he would feel a little embarrased that anyone still likes it so much.

i remember i met Chuck Jeffries at a fan club trip during a hollywood party(celebrating Richard Nortons 25yrs in action cinema)
Chuck was in twelve monkeys, and made the fight scenes for the blade movies and even stunt doubled wesley snipes too.hes like a "kung fu eddie murphy stereotype."
he was in a lot of now obscure/rare american vhs action B-movies in the 80s and early to mid 90s.
i managed to get a chance to chat with him about the vhs tapes i had starring him and he said lightheartedly "awww man, daayym, well all i can say is:at least somebody out theres watchin" a funny down to earth guy who knew he had been in some low budget flicks and wasnt afraid to have a joke about some of the various roles he played.it was a cool chat and he gave me a business card incase i fancied flying out to washington to have a lesson or 2 at his gym there.the style he teaches is "combatitude" classic pun. ...i never went though but it was still a cool gesture....anyway
his best work was Bloodmoon alongside the uks very own Gary Daniels another 80/90s action B-movie star who was recently in The Expendables as the bearded british bad guy who gets his neck snapped backwards.
check it out

also heres some more Chuck J

also at 3:40 and 4:20

for kung fu movie
I love those OLD classic by Cheng Cheh

well, I know it's very diff style and taste
like compare Evile Gama Bomb to Maiden, Priest [no wait! I love all of them :D ]

Worst film award goes to Manos The Hands Of Fate:

The guy who wrote, directed and produced the film (which is also a tell tell crap film warning) was a shit seller and did this as a bet.

Also Monster A Go Go, Santa Claus vs The Martians, Puma Man, Vampire Assassin and then there is
THE ROOM

Enjoy

Actually it's War Of The Worlds 2, I've seen both of yours Lewis.

You've no idea!
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

I have seen the trailer for it, seems manageable.

This one is painful to watch and it actually made its way into a few cinemas but the distributors told them to burn the prints rather than ship them back!
