I get about 2/3 books a month to keep my finger in the comic pie. I'm on hellboy, punisher max, Transformers IDW, walking dead (amazing books) and filling in the gaps of the one-off classics like 300 or v for vendetta etc.

Best book I've read in a looooooong time was this, it made me cry. Total black and white penwork but the story floored me. Seriously, my supervisor was laughing at me reading comics so I made her read it and she cried too!

what do you think about them setting the numbering of PunisherMAX back to #1? I think they are putting in Kingpin and a max version of Bullseye which should be wicked! I will read it just cause Jason Aaron and Dillon (i think) are working on it! Ghost Rider writer and Preacher artist...hells the fuck yes!

Again they are also launching a new Transformers on-going this november!

If anyone is interested in picking up some weird shit, i read a graphic novel called: Like A Velvet Glove Cast In Iron...

nd holy shit! I honestly had no idea what is happening, at times it is just fucked up and at other times just fucking random! The book itself has no point, there is no obvious story and nothing really happens...but it is just so random, messed up, creepy, weird....any of those!

That would be briliant, I'm only part way through the originals so to think there are more on the way, well, that touches me in my happy place. Punisher is a classic example to throw of the nay-sayers that state comics are for kids. Let your kids read Punisher max and see how well they sleep at night.

I just bought perhaps the greatest comic called "Jesus Hates Zombies featuring Lincoln Hates Werewolves Vol. 1 Yea, Though I Walk"
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Yea-Though-Walk-Featuring-Werewolves/dp/0979787483/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1253385616&sr=8-2
The title alone is better than a few comics I read.

The Sentry
IDW Transformers and the old Generation 2 stuff
Cable + Deadpool and Deadpool solo stuff
All the Star Wars ones, especially stuff like Crimson Empire.
Mental crossovers like Judge Dredd vs Alien are always amaze. I got Batman and Superman vs Alien and Predator recently. Rather amusing.

Don't really read comics anymore, although I used to be an avid follower of 2000AD from the mid '70's to the early '90's with the likes of Judge Dredd, Nemesis, ABC Warriors & Flesh being among my favourites.

I did recently get "The Big Book Of Barry Ween" off my g/f and have to say it's brilliantly funny.
