Satan/Blind Fury/Pariah is one of the most talented but overlooked band from UK
If timing right and with better luck I think they could be another huge classic UK band
it's shame they don't get what they deserve, left to one of those obscure forgotten one......
Satan debut court in the act is absolutely their best and most creative work, a classic that true metalhead should own and should play on regular routine

Well said BK, I think Tippins and Ramsey were one of the greatest NWOBHM guitar double teams! I do wish Court in the Act had a more worthy production job, but it still rules.
I really love Suspended Sentence and the Into the Future EP too, a bit more shreddy and catchy, and a different singer (named Michael Jackson!).
The Court in the Act line-up is playing at Keep It True 2011!

Oh, I think ct in the act production is very good enough for an 80' metal release especially NWOBHM, there have many kinda crappy sounding nwobhm stuff
I actually have court in the act till the 2nd album of Pariah, [I'm a fanboy ] the only album I can't found is the last album of Pariah damn....... its freaking hard to find!
ah.... I wish can watch them live too, but....I'm stuck in HK Brian Ross back in Satan is good!!! [well, MJ is good in Pariah too haha ] I love his voice in debut, but do they have any plan for release new material?
Not that I know of, and I'd rather they didn't really.
I still feel the Caught in the Act production quality is a let-down - the guitars and drums sound weak compared to lots of their peers. Maybe they were just low on funds, or had a bad engineer? The Suspended Sentence production is stronger at least.

i think the court in the act production is good, to me it sounds like it is badly mastered with a lot of the bass frequencies being lost. The guitar tones sound pretty crunching and the drums are well mixed, its just lacking the omph in the general sound. but still, what an album! Break Free is such a catchy song. you can really hear their influence on early thrash bands, especially metallica!
i love the sound of early nwobhm - before 80s digital sound took over, a lot of the early 7"s hold that awesome warmness, with some especially raging guitar tones. it's such a true sound, no major production jobs and fancy stuff hiding the musicianship (for better and worse haha!), the music is really left to speak for itself.
right, here's one i don't think we've mentioned, and certainly one of my absolute favourites - i listen to these guys almost everyday... Persian Risk.
Such amazing vocals, song writing is so perfect, riffs beyond belief, arrrgh! they are so good!!
good stuff!!! I almost order their Rise Up album before from Sonic Age Records. do u have that album? is it good?
anyway Im waiting for few albums from post including Avenger, Samson and Battleaxe [I will get tokyo blade soon, I can't stand to not having any album of them no more!]
