Liking Def Leppard makes you even more of a girlie man. An economic girlie man.

Same here. Obviously.
The scary thing for Rangers fans is how easily we did it though. After McCulloch had a half decent dig from about twenty five yards they offered absolutely nothing. We virtually walked the ball around the pitch and they hardly got a touch. I know they have a european match coming up tonight or tomorrow but I'd have thought they would have wanted to go into it with a bit of confidence.

Nah, having long hair is the most immediate girly-man trait.

They had a home leg against the all-mighty Kaunas last week and drew 0-0. That was far more humiliating than losing to Liverpool.

At first I wasn't too pleased with signing Keane - especially given the price, but it seems like Abramovich & Co have inflated prices so much that players are going for stupid prices everywhere - Darren Bent cost Tottenham around the same as Keane cost us I think. Add to that the fact that Keane is a proven top-level goalscorer and can play in a few positions, and I think we have one of the most underrated signings of the summer.

The Gareth Barry saga is hilarious though. For one thing I don't think he's worth £18 million plus a pretty good right-back, and for another our midfield is already pretty decent. Xabi Alonso is as good as Barry, on-form he can pass pretty much every midfielder off the pitch, he just had a dud season last time around.

For the money Keane's transfer was worth, I don't think it would be fair to say he'd be underrated!!!

He's underrated in terms of the general reaction he's got (from what I've heard and read anyway) - it's hardly a massive coup kind of signing.

£20.3 million (£18m initally, then £2.3m based on appearances)

That sickens me. Paying people that kind of money is what I hate football for.

Nice little run out for our boys (boys being the objective word in the 2nd half - only 4 players were over 20!) again last night. 4-1 against Valerenga. I know it's still only pre-season but Torres has just carried on like last season never ended. The only sour point was Gerrard's thigh strain but he should be ok for the start of the season.

Oh, and Rangers:
Scottish football:
