OK Martin,i just think given the opportunity, how many people would take advantage of the situation if they were in the "thick" of it(haha) no real loss if a Sony building/apple store gets done over but a big shame if families are forced to flee their own houses.
looting gets a yes from me(within reason),rioting still a no no.but hey its a riot.
perhaps they should all write letters of complaint, much more effective dont you agree.theyre doing what they want whether we like it or not.its on a larger scale.bit like how we all have the freedom to talk how we want on this forum(compared to shit ones full of rules)

if in future you ever find £20 on the pavement or see someones left a bag of shopping on a bus/train then be a good boy and hand it in to the police.im sure they will look after it.

and if debenhams gets destroyed, where will you buy all your clothes?

i bet if shops were being looted/trashed near you, youd be stood there saying "put it back, put it back now, think of the bigger picture" "dont put people out of jobs" and im sure they would totally agree with you and sensibly put back all of their haul.

anyway "brainless/ignorant" name calling and goading people is also how riots start...ay mate ;-)

ok i might be thick and stupid and a plank but its "just the internet"...isnt it?...dont take it so seriously or DO in this case.
up to you and up to me

His own decisions.

But all Office quotes aside, blaming the government is good fun, yes David Cameron is a dick, yes Boris is a fucking idiot, yes they have fucked up England again just like lovely Maggie before them, but come on, there is no fucking excuse for this bullshit. These people aren't fighting for anything. They have no ideals and no values. This isn't about a black man being shot (who incidentally had an illegal firearm on him). This is not fucking Rodney King or Stephen Lawrence. This is about a load of cunts taking the opportunity to go and get some free trainers and smash some shit up. They're fucking burning people's houses down. They're not fighting against capitalism and consumerism, they're destroying people's businesses, fucking hell, they're destroying their own communities! So that nice old bloke who owned that furniture store in Croydon, did he deserve to have his life fucked up because he sold things to people for money? And they say they want respect!! They don't deserve fucking respect, they don't even know what respect is, and it's a fucking shame their parents didn't teach them. Plenty of people have lost their jobs and been made redundant recently, are they all going around burning people's businesses and cars and flats? No, they go and try harder to make a good life for themselves. Sure, the government definitely isn't blameless, leaving these towns to rot, cutting youth service budgets - it's all bullshit, but that's not what this is about. Rising tuition fees has definitely got nothing to do with it, these are not the kind of kids who want to go to uni and get an education. These people are having fun, they're not angry. They can say bullshit like "we're teaching the rich people a lesson," well then why are they mugging kids and car jacking women and burning poor people's places down? It's a bunch of animals going berserk.

Basically, what a load of fucking cunts. They should go to Iran and act like this, see how they like to throw bins at the police when they're hanging from a fucking crane. I certainly don't want to see Britain turn into a police state, but I think it's time this country taught people a bit of disciprine. Sometimes I think all the concern about political correctness and the worry of getting sued has had a bigger effect on society than spending cuts!

I love you Rik.

Jon, rearrange that wall of text please.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

Yeah ruining peoples small businesses and family homes is extremely cuntish and not on.

however if there was an apple store with freebies up for grabs then go for it.
Apple has a net worth 46 BILLION!!!!!!!and counting. more money than the US treasury(44bn)
so if they lost £1 million in ipod/computing stock then im sure they will recoup and survive as a greedy corporation.
i can proudly say the only Apple products in my household are the apples in the fridge.

i always buy the cheapest of the cheap value brands and have an ancient nokia phone.its my 3rd ever handset and only coz the previous 2 eventually died.
and O2 gets £10 off me a month.

anyway what im tryna get at is the big corps who have been ripping people off far too long i have no sympathy for if they have the odd store raided.

same with trainers lol. how can sports shops sell nike air max/TNs etc at £100+!!!!,the only reason kids want them is coz they will be uncool/picked on if they dont have them.
these trainers probably cost a few quid to manufacture in a sweatshop 3rd world factory where the kid gets a few pence a day.

put it this way,in phillipines you can get genuine flash nikes for £15-£20 odd and knock off ones for £5-£10.
why the fuck should they be sold for crazy prices here.so for the trainer theives they finally got a bargain.

anyway this will be prevented by parents/families uniting. police wont win if they start getting more heavy handed.ie the american taser/mace happy route.and army wont solve it.
look at all the tanks in the middle east, military presence just fuels and unites the rebels and the
public disgust against the authorities will just grow and become stronger.

i think what John says about respect, parenting is the main issue.
also the rich snobs need educating on how to be less greedy and how not to shit on people at the bottom of society.

its just a total lack of community spirit in this country. everyone is out for themselves.i think the soft touch laws ie:dont ever smack or punish your kids for anything they do wrong combined with all this being the best/being rich and famous/celeb culture ie:big brother/dragons den/the apprentice etc, doesnt send a good message to the youth of today.
its either be rich or poor never content or humble.

look at the turks and greeks in london forming their own groups to defend their properties.

we need to follow their example and the victims need to rally together and sort things where the police will always fail.

if a 13yr old can throw a rock at a cop and get away with it then our police force is a joke.
however if the copper gave the kid a baton pasting then that would just escalate the violence and wont sort them out at all.
whereas if a member of the community felt like coming and giving the kid a good smacked bottom or a wooden spoon on the knuckles style punishment for being a little toerag rascal in general then maybe we would get somewhere but of course people are afraid to confront them as they are in groups.
im sure a group of honest moral upstanding citizens could overpower the gangs if push came to shove...
but then how long before weapons and guns start getting used

basically we are going to just have to accept that its going to end up like a tracksuit version mad max/2019 out there so we might aswell start building vehicles from scraps and tooling up with spiked bats, gauntlets and other such items.

Odd you should mention Rodney King Jon, since the first thing that sprung to my mind when this kicked off was the 1992 L.A riots.

Nottingham is being raped by 'em as I type this, apparently they petrol bombed the everloving shit out of a police station there. Sheffield has had no problems thus far, but I was in town earlier and there're police/van/helicopters fucking everywhere. Not to mention that aside from a few people (and obviously the police), the city is completely desolate.

Why the hate for Sheffield? It's far from the worst city in the country (that's Hull), especially in terms of crime.

I don't think much hassle will come our way though, the BBC (Blades Business Club, not the fucking British Broadcast Corporation) don't take kindly to this sort of shit.

Well look, I think someone needs to tell these twats that Richie Faulkner is actually a reall good guitarist and fits into Priest surprisingly well, despite being a youngling. We're all upset that KK's gone, but there's no need to burn down England because of it.

Do you think the rioters are picking and choosing which shops they loot? They're not looking at an Apple shop and thinking "Yeah, it won't affect them", just in the same way they're not caring about local businesses with no insurance etc. Even if it is a multinational corporation's shop that has been looted, it's still messing with people's livelihoods for no good reason. I don't know how you can justify this Rik - imagine if it happened to one of your friends/family. I imagine that's the only way you could ever take something like this seriously because you don't seem to have much care for the people affected by this so far.

until bricks come through my windows or my house is set alight,or my towns shops get pillaged,i can theorise and have an opinion.
its all just speculating, until it effects any of us physically who knows what we would do in the situation.
of course i care about people.and if anyone comes to violent harm or distress then thats totally unacceptable.

the materialistic side of it (ie the shopping sprees) is not important. stuff is just stuff! stuff can be replaced. lives cant!
now if the entire countries food and drink resources were being stolen and we ended up starving like the 3rd world then id would worry a lot more about people stealing things.

i saw earlier that a load of popstars albums burned in that sony warehouse and charlie from busteds entire press of his new solo albums was destroyed......BOO FUCKING HOO!
i mean seriously, thats the funniest thing i read today. my heart bleeds for all the multi millionaire talentless individuals who are losing album sales.

anyway, violence killing and terrorising is what will always disgust me most and i will always disagree with on all sides.

the rest of it,be it financial or political if you want to join in and do it for whatever reason then do it at your own risk,if you dont want to then then dont.

and if anyone want to make a stand they can.look at the 100 strong defense crew of public in eltham.

i think Martin has been more effected by the situation just from getting so hissy about whatever ive said on here than the actual people who are genuine victims.

its all just opinion,i will leave you with a song/s

What if some kid sets fire to a shop and then it spreads and sets fire to a flat and some woman and her kid narrowly escape? What about the people who are losing their jobs thanks to their businesses being smashed up? What about the blokes that got run over by cars looting stuff? All this stuff has been reported.

It's all very well and good saying "stuff is stuff", but when da yoof are running wild, there's gonna be casualties all around..

Also the EDL got kettled, fuck off and let the police do their job. There's no problem with people wanting to protect their communities by patrolling or helping the poleece or whatever, but the Nazi stormtroopers?! The police may well be inherently racist, but they're not the bloody EDL.

And yeah, opinions innit. :)

I also hope it's the front cover of the daily express so I can joy wank onto it.

haha,i love you too Billy!
all a man truly needs in life is clothes, food, drink, shelter and a fully functioning wank arm and cock.
everything else is just optional ie:family, friends, job, success, winning, materialistics etc.
