In my opinion: Bollocks. Absolute pure bollocks. Probably the first thing you've posted that I disagree with.

haha, yeah people usually say stuff like that. The only thing is, it was the first thrash album I ever heard, so I guess it was the slayer album that just beat the shit out of me when I heard it!

I don't even like the track Raining Blood all that much.

I do, despite it's overplayed-ness it still kicks me in the balls everytime, just so goddam metal!!!
One of my fave songs is Necrophiliac, it's by far the most lyrically evil Slayer track and total thrashy goodness

That track's another example of why I find Slayer so hilarious. It's a brilliant track, but it's so fast (both musically and lyrically!) and Araya's sudden scream at the end makes me laugh, even though it's amazing. Actually, probably especially because it's amazing, I love it even more and it just brings me pure joy.

I've always thought Seasons was the best. They really got the right mix of Slayer and song writing on it.

I dont even need to check it again,
it makes me laugh even just think about it,
I don't like Tom's vocal on RIB and all later release
he sings much better at SNM,
but anyway, his scream is always Cool and funny.

I personally prefer SNM and HA ( they have got more great tracks for me) than RIN, but I don’t think RIB is overrated!
We can think like this because every metal review and every metal magazine tells you that RIB is “the best thrash metal album in Slayer career” which is quite annoying, especially when you have different opinion in this case (many people have), but we see it from another perspective than people who lived 20 years ago…20 years ago not Show No Mercy, not Hell Awaits, but just this album was a real killer.
And speaking the truth still is, on its own way…
However, it is really scary when some people stop to have their own opinions and blindly repeat that RIN is the eight world wonder , not because they really like it, but because they read it in the metal review…
For me the one and only most overrated thing in this world is Black Album by Metallica. It isn’t for sure their best release, but it is so terribly popular, that so many people still think this is their first album, which is quite scary I think.

Went to see Metallica at Earls Court a couple of years ago and was stood next to this chap (must've been around 18) and, bless his little cotton socks, he knew every single lyric to every single song - from the Black Album onwards.
He just has a sort of bemused expression on his face when they played stuff off KEA, RTL and MOP.

typical. But he knew BA at least. In my high school I met a girl who always wored the same T-shirt with Kurt Cobain, because she was a big fan of Nirvana, but when you asked her what's her favourite song by this band she always answered: "Smells Like Ten Soap Irit"
