Tool are the bloody best band in the world

Postby jonny_boy34 on Fri Mar 02, 2007 4:34 pm

Bloody hell, I can't believe it everyday. I'm been having a real wonderful listening day of Tool today and reminding myself how amazing they are (even though I listen to them most days anyway). Lateralus is the best thing in existence. Third Eye is such an unbelievable songs. 10,000 Days is better than your mother. Jambi is amazing, ddurrr-durd-rudu-d-udurudd-urrddururu-ddur-du-r-ru--dd, what an amazing riff. Good christ.

Tool are terrible and far from 'the bloody best band in the world'.

I have heard them, just a load of loosely connected jangle noises nearest I could figure. Though their videos make me laugh
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

I have to say I'm not the biggest Tool fan, bit too pretentious and slow for me.

Tool are a little too stange for my liking. I have seen them live at a festival and was not impressed. Still the vids can be good though. I like the stange arty type videos for the songs.

You can't ever judge them by a performance at a festival really, it's not what they are suited for at all. I remember reading on their forum from a big fan that they saw them at the Ozzfest a few years ago and it was the worst Tool gig he's been too. I saw them at Manchester Arena last November and it was the best gig I've ever been too! Wonderful lasers and madness and all sorts of dancing from Maynard.

I can understand why some people wouldn't like them, especially thrashers... but you're all wrong. :boohoo:

I think Tool are great!, i thinkthey are a band where that you sort of have to get really into and sit down and listen to each track all the way through (if that makes sense).

Sometimes I listen to Tool all day and then follow it up with a bit of Opeth and Porcupine Tree, smoke a joint and then sit there going 'woah........amazing.....woah'.....then i realise what an idiot im being
