I've just bid on APE ESCAPE on ebay! I haven't played the sequels (apparently they're shit), but the original PS1 Ape Escape was amazing, the first game to only use the analogue-pad (as in you couldn't just use the normal PS1 D-Pad with it, you had to have analogue sticks), it was so much fun, and also really frustrating, in the way a good platformer should be! Running around catching apes in a net, it was bloody genius. I can't wait to get it again!

You haven't truly lived until you've heard Sonic Sam's Golden Axe renditions on his Casio synth guitar!

Ape Escape 2 nd Ape Escape 2001 (2001 was only out in Japan) are fucking brilliant, everything after sucks ass.
The first game is absolutely mindblowing though, I used to play that game religiously. When you're nine, getting 100% is fucking difficult but by God I managed it

Yeah, I can't remember if I got 100% or not, but I definitely came close. It was well bloody hard! I wonder if it'll be easier now that I'm a good few years older. I can't wait to play the Chinese level again! Yay!

Just got battlefield 1943 and so far I haven't been disappointed, surprisingly good for an "arcade" game.

Re: Console Gaming
Yeah, I'm in the second half of MGS2 now, just about to be tortured a little bit by Solidus and Ocelot (the hilarious bit where Solidus reveals that Raiden was platoon leader of the Small Boy Unit when he was 10), then I'll be running around naked for a bit, until it gets all confusing. It's more amazing than I thought, the second one. I can't wait to play through the third one again though. How do you get the stealth camo in that one? I only ever got it in the first game.

Re: Console Gaming
There are two ways to get Stealth Camo in MGS3 - 1. Shoot all 64 of the kerotan frogs in he game (very fucking difficult to do) or 2. Play through with no alerts. As for MGS2, I think that depends on your rank and whether or not you submtted to the torture.
Or you could be a lazy bastard like me and use an action replay.

I haven't got an action replay anymore, I used to and it stopped working for some reason! But yeah, I can't be bothered to do either of those. Nevermind, I'll just play it on easy and run around everywhere with that infinite machine gun you get after completing the game (in MGS3).

Re: Console Gaming
Well, I've just finished playing through MGS2 again, and it was just as confusing as ever. Some bits were amazing, basically all the exciting bits on Arsenal Gear, and had me thinking, 'Why did I think this wasn't very good?' and then it got to that bloody massively long codec talk at the end just before the Solidus fight, and I remembered why. God, I hate that pussy Raiden and his stupid pussy girlfriend.

Re: Console Gaming
Raiden is what makes MGS so bad. Amazing game, but it wold'vebeen SO much better with Snake. That storyline is rearded too, unless you play MGS4, then its like 'I SEE WHAT YOU FUCKING DID THERE'
