Is that Monolith 7" actually any good? I've seen it in a second hand shop, and the cool cover and presence of Barker made me think it might be worth picking up...

Yes, it is pretty good death metal, and in mint condition sells for around £15, so you should get it if the price is right. The band recorded a full length album for vinyl solution which is better and is just so fucking heavy. I have never seen a full copy of it anywhere on the net, no artwork or anything, and have heard it was never released. I do however own a test pressing copy of it, so if it was unreleased, it was a last minute decision. It is photoed below with the original catalepsy demo (the original name for monolith- barkers first band). Does anyone have any info on this LP????????

It was pulled after pressing (don't know why) and all copies supposedly destroyed. I've only ever seen one other and it went on Ebay a few years ago for about $250. It has the Baloff "Pleasures" demos and the Studio 54 gig on it. I got mine in a second hand store in Chicago when I first cam here for about $10. I almost crapped my pants when I saw it.
Do you mean Bonded By Baloff?
No - Bonded By Baloff is a bootleg. This is an official record company CD that was pulled.

The ultra rare SABBAT blood to the bloodgod flexi disc which was included in a copy of white dwarf magazine in 1987, a year before the debut LP!! The 2 pages from the magazine are shown with it.
I got one of those a few years ago. Martin Walkyier had found a few of them somewhere and was selling them on his web site. Cost me about a fiver I think. Bloody bargain !

Cheers for the info mate. The price is pretty reasonable, so I'll try and grab it. Any chance of a tape/cd-r dub of the full-length?
