ok,i just got home half hour ago.
firstly thanks to James and Craig for putting on this little shindig.and thanks for keeping my belly full throughout the 7 hours.

due to popular demand and realising how cool ukthrash is and that 99% of the forumer majority are decent people on here,ive decided i will post more often again.

any snide/childish remarks about my return for example "thought you werent gonna post in general chat anymore"etc etc,will be ignored,besides surely theres better things to do with your time.
anyway ive put a filter/foe thingy on Lev to show how much ive missed him

anyway,now thats out the way,back to hyde park.what a great day for it.after a half hour delay due to literally getting out the frontdoor and walkin 5mins into town,i ended up walking into the middle of a chav vs gypsy/pikey mini war/stand off involving tooled up people on both sides(chav side being my brothers friends and eventually my bro himself showed up)in my town at 1130ish this morning(seriously wrong place wrong time)
also having to avoid a man in his boxers at victoria station bogs who was grabbin his nuts and laughing like a maniac to all passers by wasnt much fun either.after a shaky start,i finally got to hyde park safe and sound.

i saw and met Katze and Plodman near where i was waiting for James,so we all followed James back to the treehouse and after regaining my appetite(from the initial nerves from the incident i witnessed beforehand)i started to munch through my boots meal deal and had 4strongbows and various other snacks throughout the duration.

it was a cool turnout,i think it must have been 15-20 at one point.the toilets were miles away at first but as the sun went down the toilets became a lot closer

we got some bonus Damnas footage recorded for the dvd and it was cool to see so many regulars able to make it down.

it turned out a lovely day for me in the end.

Well I'm now at home, with what feels like several tonnes of junk food that will probably last (the Doritos at least) until the Mercyful Summer Fate gathering in July!

Great to see everyone, Tom, Rik, Zurab, Mika, Kat, Plod, Faraz, Jamie, Jon, Mike, Billy, Kate (eventually) and anyone I've missed - really made it a pretty successful day all-round, I'm surprised the speakers lasted as long as they did, was a good 5 and a half hours.

The journey home was less fun though, due to the fact that the trains stopped at Shenfield I was turfed off where (as per usual) no information was forthcoming about what the hell was happening. Finally I got onto a rail-replacement bus back to Witham (which was always the plan, but going from Billericay rather than Shenfield) and there was an accident just outside Witham, which delayed things even further. Still, I got there eventually, and it was a pretty crap end to an otherwise amazing day.

God, it's 7:30am (up for work) and I feel like a dried out, hungover jelly baby. Such good times though, it was a perfect day for it (except the early sunset), and we found a nice spot after a bit of trecking (last year's haunt was overrun by sunbathers and it was hard to even find the exact spot without any leaves being on the trees).

Thanks so much everyone who made it, we had a really good gang of people there and hopefully you all had a good time; a cool testament that UK Thrash is more than an online lair of bedroom warriors haha! Good to see Rik is returning to the forum too

Eurgh, I feel so horrible!

Between us me Craig and Billy brought mountains of Netto junk, and other people added to the feast throughout the day (Jon providing a particularly colourful array of dips).

The last remaining people made our way out of the park at about half 7 (can't believe it was barely 12 hours ago... I want to be in bed), and headed in various new directions of fun. My trip back was pretty lame like Craig's - I called in briefly at an Oxford St pub where some friends were having joint birthday drinks (upholding the bday mood), but then had to leave to face the horrors of the bus home. The train was standing around for ages, and then the bus called at each town back to mine... so I got in at 1am, with only a suitcase full of junk food dregs to show for my quest rock and roll.

Brilliant outing though, thanks again everyone for coming, and let's do MORE MEET UPS! Certainly Mercyful Summer Fate again, but there's no need to wait till July before we next flock to the capital!

Right, time to go and unlock for Christ Embassy church, then sleep in the office. Classic!
