I have a question about No Country For Old Men, why don't I get the end?

It's crazy madness, I've watched it three or four times now and I still don't quite get it either. I think his dream is something to do with his realisation that he's getting old and can't understand some of the madness that happens, and maybe something to do with the fact he went into the room and that Sugar man was there and for some reason didn't kill him. And him waking up from his dream maybe means something like he's going to retire or something. Or does he retire in the end anyway? I can't remember. Something like that. Madness.

Yes indeed Pove, it's The Road, but I think I'll watch the film first, it sounds like the kind of amazing thing I'd rather watch without knowing what's going to happen, then I'll read the book after.

And yes indeed Rik, haha, sorry, I will watch that film soon, I promise!

apparently:

"The second alternate ending shows Weapon XI going to grab his head, similar to the first ending, but then a man in a black coat steps on the arm, stopping Weapon XI, and picks up the head. The camera then turns around and it is Wade Wilson who then asks "What the hell are you supposed to be?" "

Someone please help me find this as actual video proof!!

The films actual ending is the same, though there is a minute scene after the credits and different theatres got the different endings.

The one you describe Josh doesn't seem true...it'll be cool if it was though.

*new person completely changing the topic* I just ordered Jason Goes to Hell and Jason X. Oh yes. The Friday 13th movies have to be the some of the best horror movies ever (the old school ones obviously, the new one was ok but lacked that 80s charm - and epic synth theme music).

I watched the one where Jason is new york, that one is hilarious.

Though best synth themes for any film are in Escape From New York and Return Of The Living Dead

The main them from Escape From New York is fucking amazing! Really dark and futuristic in a very 80s way, I love it.

AHGAHGHAGHASGHS

I just watched Sunshine, for the third time actually, but for some reason it was even more amazing this time. What an amazing film! I love how Danny Boyle can take the most seemingly silly and unrealistic stories (although apparently Sunshine is more realistic then it seems, with the sun and all that) and make them into amazing serious films. He really is a wonderful man.

I need people to recommend me some great post apocalyptic/distopian future survival films, preferably made in the 80s or early 90s!

I am an absolute noob when it comes to films, so virtually nothing is too obvious.

I've seen Predator, but I wouldn't call that a post apoc/distopian film. As for 12 Monkeys, never heard of that but will look into it.

I'm sure Rik has some rad recommendations for me!
