I too have just got back from Megadeth/Evile... oh and JFAC.
Evile were utterly superb. Only having 30 minutes did not bother them one little bit and they went about giving the Brum Academy a sound thrashing.
Their t-shirts were ridiculously overpriced though so they lose a mark.
9/10
Job For a Cowboy are a living, breathing, pulsating shit sandwich of epic proportions. Seemingly playing the same song seven times did not endear themselves to anybody.
Their single mark only comes from the amusement of everybody booing them when Dave Mustaine mentioned them during 'Deth's set.
1/10
Megadeth.
A decent set with some fantastic highlights but some terrible choices of songs hindered them.
Never Walk Alone, Burnt Ice and Tout Le monde included (yes, I know it's in support of the UA album but they still also played Sleepwalker, Washington & Gears off it) but tracks like Sweating Bullets, Mechanix and Rattlehead left out.
Obviously the place went mental for Symphony, Hangar, Holy Wars and Wake Up Dead etc. but there were just too many fillers and not enough bonafide classics.
One major plus point was Chris Broderick though. He bought a real punch to their sound and is the first guitarist to really look at home in the band since Marty Friedman.
So he'll be off as soon as the tour ends then.
6/10

I agree with Darkweasel.
When Evile got onto the stage, I was really excited. When they started playing, it made me feel about 5 years old, I was just proper adrenaline fueled and ready to thrash. It was epic.
Couldn't find an Evile sweatband to purchase though. =[
JFAC, the only thing I like about these is the drummer. He's an awesome drummer.
Rest of the band, are all proper gay.
The bassist in particular annoyed me the most. He had those stupid massive flesh holes in his ear lobes. So whenever he'd tried to headbang, they would wobble and fling everywhere. Just looked ridiculous.
For me, I didn't know when one song started and the other finished.
It was blatant from the crowd reaction that no one liked JFAC.
Inbetween when JFAC were getting off stage and Megadeth were coming on. They had music playing. I loved it how near enough the whole of BCA were singing along to Walk and Run To The Hills. It was excellent.
Megadeth,
Were fantastic, high energy, in your face, smashing on stage.
Their presence just blew your legs off.
I agree with the fact that they had some great songs in their set (Tornado of Souls, Hangar 18, Peace Sells, Holy Wars etc.)
and some not so good ones too.
I enjoyed it anyway, it was a real bonus. Would've been better to run into one of you lot. But nevermind.
Where was everyone stood btw?
I was stood next to the left spotlight on the second floor.

I really wanna hear Burned Alive live again one of these days.
My memory's not what it used to be but I'm fairly certain it was:
Killer From the Deep
Thrasher
Bathe in Blood
We Who are About to Die
Enter the Grave

I was all over the place. Near the front for Evile, at the bar for JFAC, then everywhere from the side to the front, the back and then down the front again for Megadeth. It was quite a mad pit.

The 'BOOOOO!' was stunning. Glad I missed them as they are balls, but gutted I missed Evile.
Megadeth were the best I've seen them.
