I love being drunk in front of my mother because I'll never remember it but will receive the 'speach' every morning. For example, 'Iain, I really want you to stop drinking. I came into the sitting room at 3am to find you'd gone catatonic and stopped breathing. I was about to phone an ambulence but you started spluttering and then woke up'. I think she's used to it now seeing as it would be a weekly occurence when I was in sixth year at school (fuck knows what that translates to in the backward English system).

Having lived away from home for Uni for quite some time now, it's going to be tough moving back home in a couple of months to start job hunting. Honestly, I'll be watching the rugby on TV and go through six bottles of beer or so and she'll start getting worried. I usually smooth things over by saying 'Mum, dinnae worry. If I were at the flat, I'd do the crate'.



But yeah, shitting myself was a bad experience. Everyone's done it at some point in their life, but doing it at a party when you're 20 is pushing it...
