Yes they are indeed amazing, I had 1 & 2 (I think) on PS2 and they were uber fun. I remember the weapons being amazing and the level designs being brutal.

i agree with thrashduck, im not a fan of old games at all, its all about the games being released now and the games that are about to be released speaking of which i need to find a ds to borrow to play the new zelda game!

Hooray! Finally! Well done Ben. On the PS2 I only actually had the first one - I got it on release day and have probably played through it about 7 or 8 times, I absolutely loved it. For some reason I didn't enjoy the second one very much, I found it really annoying, can't really remember why. And I didn't play the third one, which was supposed to be wonderful. BUT, the PS3 ones have all been amazing so far (although Quest For Booty is really just an extension of the first one, it was great fun). Anyway, the new one 'A Crack In Time' is bloody mindblowing. The levels are huge and the Clank levels are amazing. And now you don't just choose the levels from a menu, you have to fly through space to get to each level and on the way there are loads of moons that you can run around on like Super Mario Galaxy. IT'S AMAZING!!!!!1

I always preferred Jak and Daxter to Ratchet and Clank. The first one anyway, I bought Jak II and got fucking stuck so many times!!

I was always the other way round. I did like the first Jak & Daxter, but I remember it always used to be soooo bloody frustrating. And the second one was ridiculous. Badly placed checkpoints, the bane of my bloody life. It right pissed me off. I always found Ratchet much more fun.

The first J&D game is one of my favourite ame sof all time, though it can be a fucking frustration when it wants to be. Jak II can fuck off and get raped by bears though, fuck that game.

Yeah, I do remember crying a lot, especially towards the end. It was good fun though. Still, Ratchet was always my favourite boy. And Clank was, and still is, very hilarious indeed, whereas Daxter was just fucking annoying.

just stumbled across this beautiful platformer on ps1. its a lemmings spin off from 1996.
i got it off amazon for £8 bargain considering the only copy on ebay was £20.
i like a few platformers ie:the megaman X4/X5/X6 on ps1,castlevania and of course i love the donkey kong country trilogy dearly.
this sprite based game just looks so well presented and fun.

Got that Final Fantasy VII sequel "Dirge of Cerberus" the other week... Its really, REALLY fucking average. The biggest flaw is the camera (man, fuck that camera) and the ridiculous difficulty.

Example - upon completing a mission you get experence, as sual. However you also get the option to convert experience into gil, usually about 15000 - 30000 or so. Problem here is, in order to actually advance in the game you NEED to get the experience otherwise you'll just keep dying, but then again you need a shitload of gil in order o buy new, non-shit equipment (the Ultima Weaon i about 400000 gil). In most games that wouldn't be a problem, but there are only about 12 missions and you can't replay any ofthem to gain more experience, and to top off this aleady infuriating rage-cake you can't carry over any of your experienc, equipment or money from a previous playthrough unless you go on the Extra Hard difficulty - and Normal difficulty is soul crushingly hard in places anyway.

It DOES have its addictive qualities as all games do, an it can be quite fun in places, but after you've played it once you're not really going to want to play it again. I completed it in about 8 hours, then when I realized I couldn't use all my money and experience I got all pissedoff and started a new save on Final Fantasy VII instead. What could've been a good game gets ruined by badly thought-out missions, lack of options, stupid levels of difficulty and a shit camera with no fans. I want to cry :(
