i think basically you come out of camden town tube station, walk left down camden high street until you see it on a side road on the left hand side, about 5 minute walk

The Purp Turt is tiiiiiiiiiiny... just a little pub, about the size of the underworld but arranged so it feels a hell of a lot smaller, makes for a nice atmosphere though!

Closest tube station is Mornington Crescent on the Northern Line - the venue is liteally across the road from it (well, the road behind the station, not the road the exit comes out onto)

Got 'em today!!!

Wtf is this about '£5 donation on the door' for a Vitek fund?! I don't see why Earache need a fiver off everyone because some bloke from Poland died?

I know it's a nice thought blah blah, but how is this money gonna help a dead man, and surely this means we have to pay to get in to a FREE gig?

They could have just said 'it's gonna cost a fiver on the door', I mean £5 is fucking cheap for such an awesome lineup, but why tell us its free then go 'actually, that's a fiver please mate'.

ANYWAY, can't wait for this gig, will be like a UK Thrash party, especially with the Evile and GB dudes there too!!!! :D

Don't be a knob Harris, the £5 is for Vitek's memorial fund, a token of appreciation to his family for a decent funeral etc, they'll have a lot of people to cater for. He was an ace drummer and you're essentially only paying £5 for four awesome bands, take your fist out of your arse, lad ;)

:shame:

I was just saying that they could have told us, rather than just sending tickets saying '£5 donation needed'. I'd rather give his family the money myself, I wonder how many other gigs are happening where people have to pay for Vitek's memorial fund? He must be having an awesome send off!!!! It does seem a bit strage to put it on a gig though, why not start a site where people donate or something?

I don't actually mind, it's only five squid, but I felt like being a nob, after all Earache did tell everyone it was FREE, then say 'actually, you can give us a donation to Vitek's memorial fund, but it's not optional and it has to be a fiver'.. ;)

i actually agree with Harris. The gig was billed as free and to now turn round and demand five pounds is unfair. a forced donation is surely an oxymoron. if they had a bucket on the door im sure there would be alot of real donations that would actually represent peoples' respect for Vitek, not the amount people were willing to pay for Gama Bomb
