Well, as the dust settles on Pitiful Reign's appearance at this year's FTA,

and as those who attended will have seen for themselves.

We have to sadly announce that Josh is leaving the band
as he moves to London to begin his career as a film maker.

We are absolutely gutted to have to say Goodbye to such an integral and founding member
of Pitiful Reign

Josh has added so much . A great front man, video producer, graphic designer, lyricist and vocalist.

But above all a great friend.

There would be no Thrash Boobs and Zombies without Josh, and we are sorry to see him go.

Image

But go he must, onto bigger and better things, and we are left with some brilliant memories....

of the Thrash Attack tour with Evile and Headless Crorss, 20 dates in a month ! ;

of playing BOA 2006 ;

of selling his autograph for beer at Bloodstock Indoor;

of all the recordings he has done over the years;

the fantastic videos for D.I.V.E and Human Coleslaw, which he co produced;

of headlining the Metal Disorder fest in Milano , last year;

and not least for his mastery of lyrics and creation of previously unknown words;

Josh, its been a pleasure and a privilege

:D

So what happens now for the band?

We are on the hunt for a new vocalist.

Festival and gig offers are coming in for the summer, and we need to get cracking.

anyone who is interested in the role should contact any member of the band and we will set up an audtion.

thanks to everyone who has offered their support as the band goes through this period of change.

We appreciate all those who stand by us.

What about the guy who filled in for him? He had the same vocal style, just needs a bit more belief in himself.

I thought he did a good job too. I think he would have been a bit more confident without the comments of some little local dick eds at the front. Especially the one who threw the cans.

However, he learnt the whole set in 3 rehearsals, which i thought was bloody amazing.

He already is in a thrash band, but it would do no harm to ask him.... :D

A. I. R was a bit special :dance:

theyre Called XIII ( thirteen) from Hull, and just starting out.

The annoying thing about the people insulting him was that he literally stepped in at very last minute, and learned the whole set, just so that we didn't have to let anyone down and cancel.

Thats a mammoth task in anyone's book.

No matter, I don't think it spoiled anything, and you can't please everyone :mrgreen:

Good luck to Josh, Sherry's post reads a bit like an Obituary though! :P

Who knows, maybe we'll see him back in a few years time!

I'm sure the guys will find someone that absolutely kills.

I'll be n London in a few months so i'll be around at most of the UK thrash gigs. I'm quite excited about coming out to all the stuff i miss with been up north. Some of you guys are going to have to show me around so i know where i want to be drinking :D

And for anyone interested in what I'm actually getting up to, i keep everything posted up here. its not very interesting and the grammars awful but its there.

Sad news indeed!

Josh, man, maybe I'll catch you at the Gama Bomb/Mutant gig? Shame you had to leave dude, Pitiful Reign were always awesome... Best of luck with your stuff though, hope things work out!!!

Also, temp vocalist was awesome, did a great job of filling in, it can't have been easy in the slightest but his vocals were spot on and he sounded like Josh! Good luck PR - any new stuff in the pipeline?

Not surprised Dan did okay, he's a nice kid and a good front man with XIII - was he playing guitar because if not then it would have been doubly weird for him, different band and no guitar to sling about.

Pity I couldn't have got to the gig as a big fan of Pitiful Reign & XIII - saying that if I'd have seen/heard the abuse I'd probably not have been my usual friendly self :(

Good luck to Josh & the band :)
