Tbh ALOT of bands that play at Wacken pay for the privledge as they know they can make alot of money on merch.

Whats wrong with machine head to headline? I think they are superb!

Also Saxon would be awesome! Gonna be seeing them at the Guildhall with motorhead in nov!!

I wouldnt be suprised if Megadeth make an apperance. They will be supporting a new album, so will slayer!
Metallica dont look like they will still be in europe around that time but Anthrax are also expected to make a release next year...any one else hearing "thrash of the titans" :D...although mabye not at wacken lol

Using Google Maps if you walk from London and get a ferry to france it takes about 6 to 7 days to get to Wacken and thats without stopping

I don't know if you're serious or not, but anyway:

The easiest, but longest and most boring, way is with Argon Direct who do coaches from most major cities all the way to Wacken.

Alternatively, yes you can get a train from Hamburg to Izehoe, then a bus from just opposite Izehoe station straight to Wacken. This is what I did this year and it was much more fun than a coach, but then again I travelled by myself last year and met my mates there
