There were cunts moshing to Iggy Pop at Download Glasgow 2004 so my brother spear-tackled one of them. Considering he's a 6' 3" and 17 stone Number Eight (rugby position) and the guy he tackled looked to be about nine stone, you can imagine who came off worse. It was pretty funny because he was unconscious before he hit the ground. My brother thought he might have killed or paralysed him and ran away. Me and my mate just pointed and laughed whilst everyone else checked to see if he was still breathing.

Good man! I'm not a big fan of pits at gigs, but in clubs there's just no need.

This is the only good thing about Trivium gigs. At the last Trivium gig I went to in Manchester I stood where I wanted and no one ran into me, hit me or pushed me over. I even had a whole hot dog without it getting knoced out of my hand or anything.

Admittedly, I was stood in the lobby.

I don't bother with mosh pits at all, especially now people have started doing this hoods-up hardcore dancing shit. I'm yet to get caught in the face by a flailing arm yet, but when I do...

Yer I fuckin hate that man. Although, that said, it's funny to watch. The thing I like about it is not the actual doing of whatever the hell it is they're doing, it's the complete lack of conviction that goes with it. If I felt the need to do something like that, I imagine I'd be doing it for a long time, whereas they do it for like 3 seconds then look around to see who was watching. Fuckin hilarious!

I remember at the last big gig, there was some fag there and he was flailing his arms about like a pussy, so my mate went and smacked him in the face. It was funny as fuck. There are some turds that go to gigs. Im all for mosh pits as long as nobody goes over the top.

I enjoy a good pit. I just hate the 'let's see how much we can fuck up other people' mentality that seems to ruin them all these days. Also, the older I get the less I can be arsed and the less I enjoy the crampedness.

Meh, pits are ok, they're never going to go away so there's no point whining. Plus, it would be a bit of a buzzkill if everyone stood there like miserable Martins slowly nodding their heads with their arms folded. I normally take a while to see what they're like, how many twats there are in them, and depending if i'm drunk or whatever I may join in.

Pits are soooo fun when you're totally shit faced and everyone is there TO HAVE A GOOD TIME!!! As a rule they arent even very dangerous!!! Unless you're at a Slayer gig, or until you get some macho violent cunts who think they're hard just standing there and pushing people over (or smacking people), but when someone pushes them, they want a fuckin fight about it... unless said person is bigger than them, then they just get scared and move somewhere else in the crowd where they can act like a dick and get away with it... and then there's the "MOSH LIKE A SPATHHTIC!!!" people, who can only really go to gigs for the enjoyment people get from watching them spazz out

I'm a bit old for pits but I still go in a couple of times a year... when the band is especially good. In 15 years I've only ever had one bad experience where I got knocked out at Morbid Angel, came to propped up at the bar at the back of the old Marquee. I was a prick though, should have gone to hospital... I lost an hour of my life!

I fucking hate those fucking monkey dancers that fling their fucking arms and legs about... complete cocks. Everyone knows you're no supposed to get hurt in the pit, it's just a fucking laugh. Cocks.

Moshpits are fun at thrash and death metal gigs. The Municipal Waste one in Leeds was brill! However moshpits for bands such as Dream Theater and Nightwish are a big no-no, and it's always the short-haired morons (to avoid controversy, I'm not saying short-haired people are morons, but the morons who start unnecessary pits always have short hair).

At the Pagan Fest a couple of weeks back I went in the pit for Moonsorrow which was fun, especially being sent flying, funny!

One last thing, even Panic At The Disco have mosh pits at their gigs, ultra-ghey!

Oh yeah, and 2-stepping or whatever they call it is gay as well. Saw Black Dahlia Murder and BlowJob For A Cowboy back in December and the gayness in the pit was more entertaining than Blowjob
