Hi guys! I just joined up. Normally I post at Metal Forum (http://metalforum.com. But it is nice to have a thrash specific forum in the UK. I live in Norwich (Norfolk) and there is not much of a scene here. I AM going to Wacken in a week though which should be frickin awesome!!! Anyone else going?

Norwich is a strange place.
Asked for a burger and chips.
Got a battered burger which was horribly amazing, and stodgy chips.
Turned up at what we thought was the venue, nice big pub, huge stage, then got told our venue was behind it. Much smaller stage. Horrible one way system - but lots of hot girls (maybe it was just the day!) so, that concludes 'F-Mans tour of Norwich)

My names Jim, im 21 years old from Hastings. I love beer and i love metal. Thrash is my favourite genre but i listen to a lot of death metal and symphonic stuff although to be fair, as long as its pretty technical and loud as hell, im a fan.
Im currently in a cover band covering old rock and metal songs from 70s/80/90s but im looking into getting into a thrash band.
Im a lean mean rhythm machine, i dont have much interest in playing lead, id much rather throw out some low end heavy ass riffs instead of insane solos.

So yeah, thats me :3

thought i'd say hello in here, looks like a top place..
heard about it plenty in the past, but only really properly checked it out when thrash gordon (james from the atrocity exhibit) posted up about the 'kin hell fest i put on and he was playing at...

gonna start hanging out a little more here.. ties in nicely with more recently getting back into some old thrash stuff after not listening for a long while (rust in peace, south of heaven, ride the lightning, arise, among the living, extreme aggression etc) and finding some good new things to enjoy (warbringer, lich king, lazarus a.d., dekapitator)..
