Hair Cut Pros:

- Much easier sport: football, swimming, jitsu, etc.
- Easier to wash
- Doesn't need constant brushing
- Would not moult
- Would look more presentable
- Could mingle in more (debatable one - I don't really care that much about being judged, but it could be good to be able to merge in a bit)

Cons:

- Would probably be very depressed, after growing it for like 5 years (have had several nightmares that it got cut! )
- Headbanging would be rubbish, and would just look totally less cool music-wise
- In a way I kind of like not having the totally typical image, and it isn't that much hassle as it's always tied back

AND - the question of what style I would go for!

i thought the same when i cut it, but the only time i've ever wished i had long hair was whilst headbanging, and seeing as 99.9% of the time im not, it's a no brainer really.

it does feel weird when its gone, i remember i kept reaching behind my neck for a month out of habit

Yes, but the fact that my drinking has remained the same pre- and post-haircut, it's not a major factor.
