Exactly. Thrash does one thing, prog does many things. The younguns will understand the power of prog when they get older.

Looks lets not get too mean over this, both have their merits.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thrash only has one merit. And it's not very big. Primary school merit.

I like Manowar, thrash (as long as its done WELL which for the most part it doesn't seem to be imo) and prog. So no bitching from me.

Back to prog anyway!

Anyone know anything about Krautrock? Not aware of much but know a little here and there. Apparently tends to be even more 'out there' than well known prog.
