Most people get a CD and either rip it straight to Itunes now or use a torrent and don't buy it so it's just cutting out the paperwork and contractual bollocks. I'm still a big CD fan though so there'll definately be a shitload getting sent out.

Fair enough if you see it that way. Im a CD collector, i can't stand iTunes. If you buy songs from Itunes, they remain on iTunes or the iPod which sucks, so they don't fully belong to you.

Im really enjoying the demo dude. And if the albums gonna be better than that, thats awsome.

Free albums too? I smell a publicity stunt!!!! Nah joking, that's really cool of you. But in all seriousness you guys could get more attention for being the band that gives out free cds, which would mean more gigs and actually making more money from you music. Hey Terrorizer sort them out an article!

Loving the myspace tracks!!!

And by the by, if it sounds 80s and is being played now, it's technically modern thrash since we're not in the 80s at the moment :D :P

Music is music. The only thing you should be doing is being yourself and making whatever music you want to make. The one thing you shouldn't be doing is what people tell you to do. Constructive criticism is completely different of course, but basically, I salute you boys. You may be making metal in the style of old boys, but you have the passion - that's what counts, and that's what comes across on those tracks. Great stuff.

I got mine today, cheers big ears. Johnny Boy hit the nail on the head with that last statement.

SHOOP DA WHOOP!
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

I'll review it for sure, but articles are a little harder to secure.

sure, but if everyone sounds the same then the scene will burn out again, no bands will stand out and the quality will inevitably fall.

If you want to be mediocre you can play slayer rip offs all you want, but look at the greats:

Sabbath
Venom
Metallica
Slayer
Maiden
Mercyful Fate
(just to name a few)

All these bands had obvious influences but also had a large degree of originality. Will there be another band to push the envelope or is metal doomed to go round in circles and trends until it totally burns itself out?

This isnt anything personal to HOD it's just a general point in their thread

Sure, obviously if everyone makes music that sounds the same it'll get tedious and die. But my point was, if you just make music you want to make with passion, there will be something of yourself expressed in that music and it will come across differently, even if it is within a genre that has many overused trademarks. Some people just make music according to the cliches they think they should use (bad), and other people make effective use of these cliches and put a bit of themselves in it (good). So basically, I know I'm rambling a bit, but my main point is (I think) that as long as you are honest with yourself and make music you really want to make, the passion will come across and make the music exciting and great.

I think. I should've just left it at my last post, that was better.

But on a sidenote, they took their sound by blagging songs from the music they grew up with which was 60's & 70's. I'm sure the same was said about them back then.

listed influences from my biographies.
Sabbath - Chuck berry et al.
Venom - Black Sabbath
Metallica - Motorhead / NWOBHM (circa late 70's)
Slayer - Early Judas priest.
Maiden - UFO & cream
Mercyful fate* - I'll be honest, I'm not a fan!

It's evolution innit?

Lol fair dooz.

I got my cd yesterday, and it skips like a muvafuka so it's rather unlistenable, lol. But it's clearly very good, and I love the Casualty intro, that would be wicked as a whole song, I think, rather than just an intro.
