Heretic bigged up by Earache?

Instrumentally, it doesn't grab me by the balls and go *yoink* (but the drum patterns are very cool) , I'll be interested to hear what it's like with Martins angelic voice purring over it because I can imagine it to be quite interesting.

The UK Thrash bubble will burst at some point in the not too distant future, I'd hate for Heretic to miss out.
but as has been said on here, heretic transcend thrash anyway, so i reckon they could still be valid well after that

So what you're saying is you can survive the inevitable decline of Thrash.... by not playing thrash?

Well firstly lads its all well and good 'telling' martin what we 'should' be doing in your eyes but a) its not up to him and b) its not as simple as that. Although we are endlessly ambitious and optimistic with Heretic we are also grounded and have lives away from it. How many of the UK Thrash bands are at University? I haven't a clue... but we have that and other career prospects/ ambitions.
In all seriousness its not as easy as just goin out and gigging, firstly because of our other commitments/ lives but remember we've had to combat alot of links to potential gigs/ tours not wanting anything to do with us We toured alot when we were playing more generic thrash and was sick of not getting it across because of shit organisation and shit sound and venues. Im not making excuses, Im just saying it becomes demoralising.
The prospect of getting a Russ Russell produced album out on our own independent label or another bigger one is very high simply because thats what we are working towards and are willing to go to almost any length to make happen as soon as possible. Russ has signed a verbal contract to do it too- whenever that may be. At the moment its about spreading the word, getting more of a buzz and some excitement about the forthcoming 'Isle Of Dogs' record and hopefully showing labels that we'd be worth the investment- all while we write the fucking thing. If we've written it and we have none then we'll have to think of other financial outlets to get the money together to do it. But it does have to be written first, and we're slow- simply because it has to be right. We have half of it written, with a couple of half songs and perhaps 3 others to toy with (old music pieces which may be re-arranged and re-lyriced) to go on top of the NEXT 5 we have to start writing (will be 10 songs in all).
We just need help too.

Tsk, these musicians and their egos...
Okay Lyall and Martin, this is just how I see it: when I first found out about UK Thrash Heretic were one of the up and coming bands and now two years later Heretic are still one of the up and coming bands, yes the same can be said for others apart from yourselves but they haven't talked themselves up in the same way you have, as that awful American phrase goes "it's time to shit or get off the pot." I'm not trying to get at you, far from it, I'm sure you'll agree that I've helped you in every way I can and I really do care about Heretic (ah bless), what I'm trying to say is you've got the potential to do a lot better than you are at present, grab the chance whilst it is here, a year down the line might be too late.
Your "couldn't give a fuck" and "Dig is a wanker" attitude was amusing at the start but perhaps this is coming back to bite you? Why would a label want to sign a band who sound really good but are potentially going to be hard work on the personal side? I've met you a few times and I think you are decent honest lads, perhaps it is time for this real personality to shine through.
The reason I'm posting this is that I've had a few comments given to me of late about how Heretic could and should be putting out albums with label backing, but they need to sort out their attitude and up the work rate. In fact I was asked to "have a word", which is what I'm doing.
The bottom line is you either want this or you're playing at it, and I really hope you want it!
