So thats what its come down to hey?

I have the Kerrap! 25year silver issue and on the front it boldly states:

"Kerrang! 25 years of metal!"

Strange cos on the front it has pictures of that dude from the Red Hots, Billie Joe from Green day, that fuckwit from MCR, Dave Grohl and the man who killed metal, Kurt Ca-blam.

Also the whole 130 page issue completely misses the thrash metal scene and refuses to acknowlege it ever existed and the only thrash band (that isnt Metallica) thats mentioned is Exodus, even then they call them a DEATH METAL BAND!!???!?!

Also they refer to the Norway black metal mureders as Death metal???

Fuck that shity crap, its not worth the paper its printed on!!!

If I ever met the editor I would spit in his face.

Exactly!

I've never ever bought a Kerrap. There's no need to when you can get all of your Metal News & Views from t'internet.

I don't even do that. I just make my own assumptions about what's going on and decide I'm right about everything.

I read Terrorizer occasionally. The first one I bought was a Thrash special they did a year or two ago, it was awesome. I think Nuclear Assault were on the front cover.

I think the thing that bugs me most is that the majority of the bands listed aren't even "ROCK" bands let alone Metal. They are pop groups writing catchy pop songs. I mean Lostprophets fer fucks sake  Duran Duran are heavier!!!

Back in the early to mid-80's Kerrang was a great magazine. I used to get all my information from there and Metal Forces. What a shame.

Same here. They used to cover at least one thrash band a week and there was also the special section for up & coming young Death/Thrash metal bands. Think it was called Deathvine or something like that. Metal Forces was a great mag too. Metal Forces was the place i first read of Exodus, Sepultura and many more.
