First Machine Head album is a monster; way better than any of the crappy Vio-lence material, or almost any thrash records for that matter.

iv always thought from all the footage that iv seen that hes was a well nice bloke, a few of my mates have met him and they all say hes well safe but you are right man machine head do ride the trend waves but they some how manage to keep their own sound in what ever they do, it still sounds like machine head.thats some thing that i tend to look for in bands, asthetics of hate is a wiked song .

but that vidio you put up is gay as! made me cringe a bit :doh:

EDT: Dan, its rather unfair to post on of only, what, three songs that MH have done with rapping. Thats like posting Crush 'Em and saying 'Fuck Megadeth', though admittedly that song is vomit inducingly bad even for Dave Mustaine's recent outputs.

But then you could say the same about Megadeth or any of the bigger thrash bands who all altered their sound in a commercial way to potentially tap into whatever was popular. Metallica- Load albums/st.anger --just to take it back to an older sound with death magnetic. Or megadeth with Risk just to go back to the thrashier sound with system or UA.

I do agree that Machine Head have sometimes not made the best options when it comes to presenting themselves or the music but the last two albums have been great (as was the debut), the middle stuff was....well supercharger <throws up>... not a lot of bands have massive integrity, even new bands like Municipal Waste have really altered the sound compared to the original stuff to tap into a new/bigger/money making audience.

I dont want a violence reunion, i just want the machine head line-up to play Violence songs... Rob Flynn is a better singer then the Vio-lence singer and they already have Phil....just do it!

I just had a stroke. Sean Killian is fucking ace and makes Robb Flynn look like a ponce in the vocal department, altoughRobb does have a decent voice hes nothing special. Killian was unique.

That WAS a typo James, my keyboard is crappier than St Anger at the moment, but I suppose it applies to an extent hahaha. The Lackening, got a nice ring to it gwhaha! I do see your point, but as Josh pointed out pretty much all bands went shitty for awhile during the '90s, except maybe Testament. I'm a huge fan on Machine Head's first two albums, and especially their 1993 Burn My Eyes demo, but even I can't stomach 99% of Supercharger. Jesus fucking christ.

I think they get more shit than they deserve to be honest, but I'll completely agree on the trend-hopping remarks.
