Amazing album, why didn't I ever listen to this before??!?!
Pilgrimage and Argus ain't bad either from what I've heard, this is definately a band I will be fully checking out!!!

Fucking hell, I can't believe I still haven't bought the self-titled!
I've had Argus on LP for about a year, and it is GODLY. Also seeing 'Martin Turner's Wishbone Ash' play the whole album live at the Jazz Cafe (with Jamie and friends) was INCREDIBLE (and worth the £25!!!).

Not really, although there are bits of prog in there. They're just an amazing classic rock band with some long songs, and some short ones, and some instrumentals. You might call that prog, but it's not really.

Yeah, I missed that documentary unfortunately, it sounded really good. WIshbone Ash definitely do have some kind of progressive-ness about them, I just never personally though of them as a prog band. Steve Harris has always cited them as in influence actually, which I imagine has a lot to do with the use of dual guitar harmony joy and long epic songs like Phoenix.

Yeah, one of the first bands to use twin lead guitars - along with the Allman Brothers.
"Wishbone Four" and "There's The Rub" are worth getting too.
"Live Dates" is a fabulous live album too - definitely get that one.
