active & passive HELP!
is it ok to have an active and a passive pickup wired up simultaniously? the current powering the active pickup wont fry the passive one will it :S i hate electronics...

I've never used active pickups so I don't have any practical experience but two guitar techs I know have said it's ok although there can sometimes be a slight volum difference between the pickups.

yes you can do it but its awkward to wire up and isnt really worth it as the outputs are extremely different and the passive pickup will be really really thin sounding.

Either get to Actives, or have some balls and get some Passives, they're much better anyways.

the best pickups are passive and the best passives are bare knuckles
