Distortion and Overdrive

I know there's a similar thread on here already, but the reason I've made a new one is because I want to use your answers for my final major project for uni. Basically, I'd like to know everyone's favourite ANALOGUE distortion and overdrive pedals. If you could all put down one of each, that would be ace, or if you only know about one or the other it'd still be helpful. If you're not sure if a pedal is analogue or digital, please just put it down anyway, I'll filter out the digital ones later. Cheers peoples

Ibanez TM-5 - this one is said to be a distortion pedal but it sounds like an overdrive
and Boss mega distortion - this thing can work as an overdrive too

Cheers, looked up the TM-5 and aside from this I can't find a good word about it! I was hoping for a few more replies than this, but I've made up my mind and gone for good old Boss, the OD1 and the DS1

Is that as in the ProCo Rat? I wanted to include one of the TS models but someone else is already doing that. Sucks.

yeah, ProCo Rat pedals. They are awesome, I have a ProCo Deucetone Rat.....you can get a really wide range of quality tones with it and I dont think I could ever break it. Ever.

and I think they are all true bypass...no fake gheye pedals

I think all analogue pedals are. I mean, there's not really much reason not to be. I'm gonna have to get hold of a rat sometime

Ibanez TS-9

probadly the best Overdrive pedal i've used
the TS-808 is good too, but i prefer the TS-9 over it because its a bit more edgy
