Re: UK Thrash Compilation
That is fucking wicked.
I suppose the biggest problem is that there aren't that many bands that visit here anymore and, more significantly, is there a lot of point of making a compilation of bands that frequent this site as we can check out each other's bands out quite easily and it will struggle to reach far beyond this site...

It certainly does rule indeed very much, but I suppose a lot of the bands from that CD have moved on now and it's not quite an accurate representation of what's going on in the thrash scene any more, although the spirit is definitely still there. Saying that, as I said in my last post I personally think it's too soon for a follow-up, as there's quite a lot of good stuff on there and still plenty of people who haven't heard it yet, and plenty more copies to be sold!

Re: UK Thrash Compilation
Ive been toying with the idea of this for a couple of months now and releasing something on vinyl, In reality a CD is a better idea mind.
As im more likely to sell cds then vinyl.
Basically whilst it would be a ace project, I feel that there are'nt enough bands out there at this present time or bands with new material.... and with no disprespect to anyone, but basically Earache have signed all the forerunner's - 'In UKThrash' bar Mutant (and they have a split coming out with Deceptor soon). So its going to be hard to shift 1000 cds with say 'Savage Animals' newest track if you get me.

Yeah it is too soon for this, wait for the next crop. Maybe same time next year.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Wow! Did Earache sign Seregon as well? I wonder how many unsold copies of B&T Jamie has left?

The only way a Thrash album could be good is if the bands all learned how to play their instruments and cover Level 42 songs instead of going:
0000 0000 0000 6666 0000 3333 0000 6666 0000 4444 3333 2222 1111
You really hit the nail on the head there MI. Agreed. Most thrash really is playby (rip-off) numbers.
