Oppression split up

Postby Mastubator on Sat May 03, 2008 7:21 pm

From their website:

Oppression is fucking dead...well, almost

Oppression is no more. We haven't existed since august or something like that. We will be a part of two more releases before we disappear permanently (??). One split cd and one tribute to old hardcore/punk. We will sell both of em here so keep an eye out for that. The split should be out early april, the tribute thingy, no idea.

State of war has sold out. What a way to end a career right? First a tour, and then all merch and cd's sold out. Thanks to all of you who has supported us. Those of you who did not get a copy of State of War can relax, either you can download the songs from this site (sooon) or you can get the split cd. All songs but 1 are on that. Plus songs from both TPAS and Left To Perish. We'll post something when it's out.

Cheers!

Guess they might be too busy with Autopsy Torment at the moment. Pity anyway....

Give them 15 years and they'll reunite and the whole metal world will rejoice

we played a gig with them last summer, quite sad to see them to see them quit. Would 've loved to do some shows with them again.

Met a couple of the Oppression lads very briefly at the Sacred Reich gig. Is a bit of a shit because I know they were quite loved by some of the folks on here. Still, will be interesting to see what cmes from the ashes. Any particular reason or did all just dry up?

Bogus news, great guys.
Is the split related to Enforcer becoming more of a full time thing?

That sucks, they were a great bunch of guys, had a wicked time playing with them. hopefully we'll hear more from their other projects though!

From what I gathered from Olof, the drummer left and then Olof decided that he was too busy with Enforcer, only compounded by the fact that he lived some hours drive from the other chaps.

Tor tells me he has an Infectious Grooves style band now heh.
