At the Gates are so good it's unreal. Tomas Lindberg deserves a medal.

I can see the entire forums boycotting this because of the ATG thing but Entombed are still probably my favourite so I'll vote for them. I think Wolverine Blues is almost equal to Slaughter of the Soul and I think Clandestine beats the other ATG releases and that doesn't even include Left-Hand Path and Morningstar, both of which are brilliant albums too. Entombed rule!

To be fair I need to check out Carnage and Grave and need more of Unleashed and Dismember.

I'm such a n00b I don't even know any of those bands properly, so At The Gates win by default for me anyway. If In Flames were in that poll though I'd have voted for them. I choose to ignore the fact that In Flames exist after Clayman.

Erm not true there me old mate. i was listening to swedish death metal years ago. I remember having the left hand path lp when it was first released along with stuff by general surgery, therion, tiamat, ceremonial oath, grotesque etc.

Indeed.Had the pleasure of seeing them both live,and Dismember have the edge for me.And Matti Karki owes me a pint after I bought him a 1664 in Leeds a couple of years ago.

I'm going with Dismember from that list, although without Carnage a few of those bands would never have existed. Dismember are still doing what they do best and never pussed out like Entombed did.
