a top rpg/emulation website

Postby radioactive rik on Wed May 25, 2011 9:37 am

i stumbled across what is probably in my opinion, one of the best websites ever created.
http://www.fantasyanime.com/

after recently emulating a lot of snes rpgs, some 1 or 2 were only downloadable in japanese, and for example a few characters in romancing saga 3 were unplayable coz of scrambled translation.
now i know you can "patch" games into english by downloading english patch files BUT because im only a partial geek and not a super uber geek,i couldnt work it out and didnt wanna fuck around with files/patching etc.

this awesome site has not only beautifully presented sections on each game but also has them all available to 1-click download AND pre-patched(hurrah) for idiots like me to play straight away without having to convert/mess around/get frustrated etc.

each game has in depth coverage, screenshots, walkthroughs, music downloads and loads more.

this site kicks "rpgclassics.coms" arse

Rik, you absolute star. I'm off to download Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross and Bahamut Lagoon to my PSP!

EDIT: No Chrono Cross? Denied :(

Can anyone help me find a decent english version of "The Snatcher" on the MegaCd?
I seriously want to play that game.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

Just download Gens+ and a mega cd bios and you are good to go, literally just took me 5 mins to download and configure this just now.

Peoples need to learn how to use the innerwebs.

I know how to do it povey, but the thing is if I ask someone else does all the work.

I wish people knew how to delegate.

Cheers btw.

Anyone know a good Mega Drive (or 'Genesis' as all the wankers call it (sorry if you're one of those, I'm only joking)) emulator for Android? Or do you all have bloody iPhones? I'm enjoying a lovely SNES one I found at the moment for my new phone (or I will be once I get used to bloody annoying touch screen control pad madness), but I can't find a free Megadrive one that doesn't make you pay money for the ability to save and load games. Bastards.

i havent done any nes emulation however heres the best way to get set up:

first go through fantasy animes beginners guides(2 different set ups depending which suits you/your pc more)
http://www.fantasyanime.com/emuhelp/emuhelp_fce.htm
http://www.fantasyanime.com/emuhelp/emu ... stopia.htm

then to get the games heres the A-Z of nes games from my fave rom site:
http://www.coolrom.com/roms/nes/

only other thing you will need to play them effectively(instead of keyboard)is a usb gamepad OR a snes pad+usb converter:
1) http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gamepad-ergonom ... 442&sr=8-1
2) http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dual-Controller ... 442&sr=8-2 (+ a snes pad)
