But how do you know how hard we work? In all fairness you don't know anything about us and what we do in the band, as we don’t know how hard you work in your band.

Most people/bands on this forum feel that there are great things happening to the uk thrash scene and are happy to support other band(s) even if they don’t like them 100%

For example I think your band is not that great (and I’m not just saying that because you put us down) But I would still support you.

If you just go around slagging people off all the time no one will respect you or support you, they will just think you’re a dick.

I believe that everyone should have there own opinion, but you shouldn't go out your way to put people/bands down.

Just be more mature about what you say instead of being a Dick about it.

Well..... I thought I was being mature about it. I was honest. Plain and simple.

I never even mentioned us for a start. Its not my point of view from Heretic. Its my point of view from just being me. A music lover - a metal fan - and someone with some experience in this field.

Don't come out and say say 'vote for my band for the good of Uk Thrash, everyone will gain from it' - im having none of it. Im not stupid enough to think for a second that you being involved in a feature in a magazine will benefit me or any band on this forum.

Its like saying 'everyone chip in a coupla quid for Heretics recording with Russ Russell......it will benefit UK Thrash, coz we'll get exposure and so will you. Because.....you'll get the wrong kind of exposure. Just because everyone within Uk Thrash loves whats going on....doesnt mean everyone outside of it will think the same. And the big wigs at labels/ promoters/ publishers/ magazines etc etc have more brains and more experience to settle for mediocre rubbish.

Uk Thrash might tolerate it, but they won't. You'll get exposure, but bad exposure.

How about you say 'Hey we're Seregon, we've jus shed out a fork loada cash to get a track on the Fear Candy CD on Terrorizer and we also get the chance to be voted for to be in a feature in a future issue. Give the song a listen and if you like it and think its worthy of some recognition.....vote for us by doing x, y and z'

If you don't like Seregon and you think there are better bands in the poll who you would rather vote for then fair enough, but to say that Seregon are shit and don't work hard at what they do is complete bollocks. I voted for Seregon because I think they are a good band who deserve to be featured...if instead it was a UK thrash band who I thought were a load of rubbish then I would have voted for one of the other bands on the poll.

id be suprised, we sell several cds every week to other countries, from states to tokyo, we've sold more cds to other countries then in the uk and we've sold a lot in the uk, Thrash isnt just building back up in the Uk, its building up every where, if you havnt noticed this or if it isnt effecting you maybe your doing somethnig wrong not everybody else.

Just leave seregon to do there own thing, if you dont like it dont tell every one else, i hardly ever comment anything u guys say cos tbh i have never valued anythnig either of you say because the vast majority of the time its a load of bull shit. i met the guys from seregon at Bloodstock, they where sorted and everyone can see how hard they work. So just leave em to it, if you have a problem with it, go downstairs and bitch about it to you parents over lunch, cos as far as im aware no one else gives a shit for your opinions on here.

It's not the same. Obviously it is a way of getting some exposure, because he's already an established name in the world of production/engineering, but the main reason we contacted him is because in the past we have been largely unhappy with how the production on our recordings has sounded - therefore, we thought it made the most sense to contact someone who we know has a body of work behind him that we're impressed with and fans of.

Hmm... the ZT mag. We didn't pay anything near that. I'm not gonna go into it.

Lyall made a direct attack at Seregon, yes, but I think he's making a more general point about a lot of the bands on here. I'm not gonna try and get in their way and hassle them all the time, I just things like constant "rallying the scene" despite it only ever helping yourself could be stopped.

People do give a shit about my opinions on here, enough so for me to have been given a nice little bit in Terrorizer to call all you lot cunts. The fact that I haven't been banned 10 times over is a nice little reminder too, so don't just throw shit at a wall to see what sticks.
