Right then. Want to know what the new Exodus album sounds like?
The word of mouth starts here:

Basically, if you didn't like Tempo of the Damned or SHKM then you won't like this.
Rob Dukes' voice is more Zetro than Zetro in parts (makes you wonder why Holt picked him to be honest if he couldn't stand Zetro's "constant Bon Scott impressions"). In fact, on "Children of a Worthless God", he manages to even emulate Zetro's singing voice with a chorus that isn't too far removed from "Seeds of Hate".
The title track is over ten minutes long and goes from speed frenzy to mid-pace stomper and back again, but to my mind (bearing in mind I'm only 6 tracks in at the moment) the standout track by a mile is "As it Was, As it Soon Shall Be". If this one doesn't turn the pit upside down then nothing will. What a tune!

The bad news however is I can't upload it because as usual Nuclear Blast have watermarked the email and it'd be traceable back to myself. But my guess is it won't be too long before someone sticks it on the net though.

RIOT ACT is now up on the myspace: http://myspace.com/exodus

Sounds great to me. I'm eager to see what the haters think.

Obviously it's going to be the vocals.

I'll give it a proper listen when I'm not in the company of my wine-drinking parents and wee brother.

According to Rob Duke's myspace, he likes Jack Johnson.

This track's sounding alright, but I don't much care for Jack Johnson's vocals.

Sounds alright but why they need a singer as screechy as Rob Dukes I don't know. I mean, Exodus are pretty much all in their forties now. Anger management issues should be a thing of the past for them; they should get onto writing stuff like Dokken or Journey so that they get more Fan Dan.
