Blame the stupid sisters for going 3 times or more per song. Fuck, they even annoy me doing it

just ordered my ticket from ticketweb(box office collection option). it was £13.44 in total which wasnt too bad considering the venue size.

i dont recall seeing any dives at the past gigs ive been to in the scala.

thing is MW cant really bitch or have hissy fits too much about divers or they will lose a lot of credit/fans.

fair enough if some drunken retard dives and yanks a mic cord or guitar lead or bumps the band members/performers then they should be pointed out and made to look a dick.

but as for the rest, they are diving coz it bloody MW!!!

lots of bands would be well proud if they even had 1 or 2 divers during a set let alone an army of them like the waste always get.

the solution is simple: find a venue with a massive stage so the band have space.and dont have a security team killing the atmosphere coz theres enough space in the larger venues to not have to worry bout divers filling the stage.
maybe halfway through a set,if the stage is getting too full, maybe have someone bouncing just to clear the stage for a few songs.
the Waste are all about maximum mayhem/carnage etc so should always be humbled by what they created.i hope they dont start getting too 'Hollywood'/ egotistical etc in future.we shall see at this gig.

sometimes Gama Bomb encourage the stage to be filled during the last track which is really amazing and unified.ten out of ten to Philly(compared to Tony)
Tony from Waste should stop having tantrums and be a little more lighthearted/tongue in cheek about it all.but then again they are american(from the land of drama).

dont get me wrong though, the pricks who dive 3 times per song or do air guitar/dicking around on the stage too long, spoil it for everyone else.
they will just say 'its called getting drunk and having a good time'. its callled getting drunk and being an out of control selfish dick who doesnt know his limits and is inconsiderate to the fellow thrashers tryna enjoy things.

The worst thing must be being hugged by some drunk sweaty topless dude right in the middle of a song knowing there is no shower and you are gonna smell of that tit all night in a transit van.

Meh you try being on tour for a month in a transit van :)

Thats the least of your worries if its not the lack of sleep its the fear of getting raped by your bandmates. Hygiene goes out of the window, basically all I take is a towel i(if I am lucky enough to get a shower) and nail clippers.

Basically Municipal Waste are victims of there own success and come from a D.I.Y scene in America that is completely nuts. You would'nt believe the stuff I have seen and there are bands out there with fans that do worse.

It makes me really really sad there there is'nt a DIY/Garage/Basement culture here anymore.

I cant stand multi song stage divers. They piss me off! Seeing as i fucked my back up royally last time I saw waste I will probs sit the pits out... <cough>.... like thats gonna happen!

Ive never been to the Scala, where is it ? (camden?) and does it have a cloakroom...cause i am actually FINALLY going to buy a muni waste hat. Couldnt last time cause all my change came out my pocket while i was stage diving and i couldnt afford it by like £2 lol

It's near Kings Cross underground station. Let me know when you're getting into London man, there's about 8 of us coming up from Andover so you can party with us if ya like haha.

I may actually come to this...
I've seen them 989343950 times but I only live 5-10 mins walk up the road and it should be fun. The only concern is money at the mo, Plodman will make the final decision probably and that decision will be strongly influenced by the presence of Steve lol..

here it is on a handy google map. As far as I remember there is a cloakroom to the left of the bar on the first floor near where the merch stand is.

in my opinion, the support for tomorrows scala gig is crap.i checked the myspaces and didnt like either band.im gonna try and time it so i just see MW and go nuts for 30-50mins,then bugger off to get a train to my girlys place.
whats with the support bands being of a totally different vibe.wheres the usual ukthrash bands supporting?
i guess either the band or the promoters are aiming to attract a more hardcore or trendy-hip audience.maybe due to the amount of mw shows in london where they get the hump when thrashers (over)enjoy themselves?
who knows.basicly if i hadnt paid in advance,i would have most likely given this one a miss.
