It means Tony Blair might be making a political comeback, which can only be bad news. If that cunt is president of Europe, I might have to move continent. He fucked up Britain enough already.

It also means that general laws can be passed without democracy! no one will be able to oppose or vote on anything really. ther is a petition to stop the lisbon treaty.

Internet petitions never stopped anything, but i do oppose this (even though it's the general case anyway).
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

We can't oppose or vote on anything anyway, we vote for a government and then they ignore all the 'promises' they made and go right ahead with selling off public services, deregulating the economy and generally sucking up to middle England and the yanks. Frankly I'd be a lot happier with the continentals taking over, we can't produce politicians worth two shits these days.

If I touched a Daily Mail it would be to wipe my arse with, and even then I'd rather use sandpaper than touch that heap of rightwing crap. I don't like Blair because he's a neoliberal Catholic war criminal, not because a bunch of fascist hacks told me he's a bad man.

Fair play, but what have his "war crimes" got to do with ruining Britain?! Yeah, he cocked things up, especially in Iraq and with America, but it really gets to me when people say he "ruined Britain" and stuff... what exactly did he ruin as opposed to say, John Major?

I'm not denying the Tories did (and will do) worse, but he didn't help. Instead of trying to undo all the damage from the 80s, New Labour gave us another dose of Thatcherism. 'Ruined the country' is probably a bit strong, but it did lead pretty directly to the whole banking crisis, and all the private finance initiative things are lumbering us with massive ammounts of debt for crap service. I'm not saying everything would have been lovely if the SWP had got in instead or something, but New Labour (which Blair is basically the figurehead of) only made things worse.

Oh, and the 'anti-terror' laws. If there's a chance we're gonna have the BNP anywhere near power in the future, I don't want police to have anything like that much freedom to arrest and monitor whoever they like.
