I managed to knock him down from 20 quid to 13 because everyone was saying it was sold out, then it turned out they were 12 on the door. Still, great gig, although sitting around listening to Fading fans doing pig squeals in the queue for hours wasn't fun. New bass player bloke is way better than I thought he'd be, Warbringer kicked arse and Evile were bloody amazing as usual.

Re: Evile January 2010 Tour
Had a jolly old time in Ye Olde Brizzle town with the guys. Evile showed us that they are very much at the forefont of the UK Thrash revival and Joel is a fantastic fit for the band and had a great presence about him.
After the gig headed out on the peace with several of the Evile / Warbringer / Fading / Crew guys and young Steven from Onslaught. Sunday was a write off for me but hey, I got laid that night / morning and had top side roast beef for lunch.
Great days.

Wolves Little Civic.
THE FADING - A bit meh. The riffs all sounded alike, the synchronised headbanging and windmilling was a little too boy band and the vocals reminded me of Mille from Kreator on Renewal. Still, heard a lot worse. 5/10
WARBRINGER - Total pit carnage. Great band, great set and much enjoyment had by all. Whirlwind indeed. 8/10
EVILE - Warm thanks and words of gratitude to everyone who had sent the band messsages/money/texts about Mike opened the show instead of an intro tape. A good idea. From then on, Evile reminded us why we were there. Thrash, thrash and more thrash. Killer From the Deep, Now Demolition, Infected Nations, We Who Are About to Die, Schizophrenia and a simply fucking savage Bathe in Blood being the highlights. The noob bassist played very well indeed but, to me anyway, seemed a little out of place (especially with his glittery Kiss shirt) but I'm sure he'll become part of the furniture in time. Mike's boots are mighty big to fill.

Joel was wearing a Kiss shirt? He's a hero!! Hahaha.
Yeah, I remember actually that We Who Are About To Die was AMAZING live, one of the highlights. Such a good song!

Nice photos Darkweasel. If Ol can wear a Beetles tshirt then Joel can wear a KISS tshirt. At the underworld I thought Joel was great. He was much more engaged with the audience then Mike who tended to stay at the back with Ben. Was the intro tape broken at the Underworld? I don't remember an into tape.
