I pulled an all nighter (I WIN THE GAME! HA!) and got back into Iced Earth.
I think their best release is Stormrider with the exception of Angels Holocaust which was the only song bettered on the Days Of Purgatory compilation.
Although I really love the self titled, the song Iced Earth itself is a lot stronger on the Purgatory demo than on the album. Especially vocally. Erugh, the singing on that one makes me cringe.

So did I, but as I was at work I got paid a decent sum of cash for it. Enough to buy the entire Iced Earth discography should I want. I win?

We both win. *pats back*
Your name is Ian right? I have an awful memory for names.
Go buy the entire IE discog. with the exception of the ripper stuff.

They're a bit hit and miss. Night of the Stormrider is fantastic although those two short songs are ultra gay. I'm not too keen on Something Wicked and loathe that shite one with Ripper but the rest are pretty good.

Average band. My drummer probably doesn't listen to them, but he's a bit of a retard anyway and thinks Hostel is an amazing film.
I like Gettysburg though, that's good that is.

^ you just made a delete-worthy post there (I'm cracking down on "win", "lose" and "=" posts!)
I think Iced Earth are boring and terrible.
