Jill's face from 1:37 just makes me want to die a little bit. She slowly realises he has to leave:(

anybody seen the korean war movie called Brotherhood?
its amazingly epic and really tragic.also its really strange how a country can have a full scale internal war,and people have to choose sides/betray loved ones etc.
its based on real events/true stories of the soldiers who fought in it.
also the extra feature where some of the remaining old men (who were in the north vs south korean war as teens) talk about it,is also tearjerking because they get upset reminiscing and really emotional having to describe the horrors.

Oh god yes, I forgot about that one. Absolutely amazing film, and the fact that it's full of communists makes it even better for me.

Yeah, that film is fucking amazing! I bought it ages ago for £3, and it's so good. The bit at the end where it's back in the present and the old man starts crying really had my very upset indeed.

yeah, just the trail of events/circumstances since the separation of the 2best friends at the beginning is so gripping.

I think the worst/best bit is the part with the hysterical anti-communist witchhunt, and the way the older one snaps after that and switches sides. But the whole thing is brilliant, I never get bored of it.
