Who won that metal hammer thing anyway? I never heard Goat the Head, but I liked their style, I hope they won. Also, as ALWAYS with thrash, the Evile section was just one of you (maybe you Ol) talking about his favourite Thrash albums.

I did one with my other band Firestorm a couple of years ago at the Gardening Club in Covent Garden... and well, it wasn't the best experience we've ever had. It ended with me almost ending the band, then deciding we'd just sack the guitarist (not for his performance or anything, but because he acted like such a twat when we lost, even though we were the only metal band to have ever gotten through to the final), then not doing anything because we realised the whole thing was ridiculous, and so we just pretend we're still together but we don't do anything, and I'm in Damnas which is much more fun.

It was one of those ones with judges too, and they were so full of bullshit. I only wanted to enter us in it for a bit of fun, but certain people started to take it too seriously and it was silly. I wouldn't do a battle of the bands thing again after that. It also reinforced my opinion, that these things are shit and if you want to make your way into the music world you should earn it rather than just try and win competitions.
