Check out a band from San Francisco called 'Mastery', a one-man black metal project. It's worth seeking out their / his demo 'Pure Fucking Black Metal' just for the comedy effect of when the first "song" comes in after the intro. I bought it as a joke gift for a mate, and it was everything I hoped for. So funny, I actually wee'd some puke.

Black Metal - brilliant for ALL the wrong reasons. If they were doing it for a joke or even tongue-in-cheek, it wouldn't be funny.

No point in arguing with idiots who don't understand that some black metal has massive artistic value, even if some of it appears humerous at first. (And songs about toxic waste, bashing beers, etc. while wearing stupid white high tops isn't moronic, right).

People should just listen Autograph and then eventually come to the conclusion that the '80s was actually far better for pop than it was for Metal.

I can't believe people are actually talking about Black Metal in this thread and even have the gall to say it's better than 'Hip Hop'. Nothing is worse than Metal when you have to dress up like KISS's adaptation of Lord of the Gays.

yes, the skill of many black metal musicians cannot be questioned. I think it's unfair to dismiss a genre based on the over the top dress sense of its participants. theres good and bad in EVERY genre.

except nu-metal :P
