a Tekken movie sounds an awesome concept.as long as its not run of the mill hollywood.
maybe a joint western/eastern film company collaboration could get it bang on.
lets hope it has Corey Yuen or Yuen Woo Ping choreographing

also Eddy better be played by an authentic brazilian capoeira expert who can also act.
not some dodgy l.a.mexican who who can breakdance a bit :D

Let me enlighten you, for it is very lovely.

Eddie is played by this legend; http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1956628/

You may recognise him from his work with Tony Jaa. He's from Brazil and is a master in Capoeira. Utter lovely.

What's this, I see no mention of King, Lei or Paul in the Tekken movie!

wow! the film co have done their homework.
i initially thought of that guy when you said about a tekken movie but thought theres no way theyd use him.

also i noticed Gary Daniels is in the movie.he is an awesome martial artist from surrey, england and is very underrated/underused.
ive got loads of his american B movies.he is a great martial artist but is always cast in average or shit films.his acting is pretty wooden but convincing enough.
the fist of the north star movie starring him was all round cack and not his fault.his best role has to be in Bloodmoon.also the bad guy/streetfighters Ken in jackie chans city hunter is one of gary daniels most memorable roles.

Tekken looks more promising than the sf2 movie but theres yet to be a trailer.

i think the stars are lesser known but much more authentic and are proper fighters.also a cast of lesser knowns makes movies more believable and sometimes ends up making the movie more about the movie rather than the hollywood whores.

You didn't enjoy Mortal Kombat: Annihilation!? I know it's absolute rubbish but that's what makes it so amazing, the animalities at the end are hilarious.

And the RE film hardly resembled the games, that shit was all over the place.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

annihilation was cool for the first half hour.i kept rewinding it after the Jax vs yellow robot(Cyrax?) fight.the rest of that film is sooo power rangers for 15yrs+ kinda crap.those animalities are just too ridiculous.it turned into a poor mans Godzilla fest at the end.

it was in a mansion with zombies, thats all it needed.i know it didnt follow the game plot closely but was still a decent effort.
it was a bit all over the place but on the whole it had enough for the game fans to relate to.

As a fan of the games i have to say that's bollocks. It was pure shite, disposable trash. It basically was a cash in on the license to make something for a limited budget that would make as much as it possibly could by looking flash.

It was a shite iceberg.

Yeah, it seems a lot more based around the newer Tekken games. King, Lei and Paul barely have any story in them in comparison to the old ones. King hates Marduk, Lei...does..something and Paul and Law just fight in restaurants. Not movie worthy stuff.

If we're going on looks, he's awesome. Shit moves though.

Jin (Tekken 4 onwards) is the best for moves. He's just amazing.
