If Goths set out to get provocation from people, they can't pick and choose what kind of reactions they get from people. If they get some kind of pleasure out of people staring at them because they walk about with bondage chains around their necks, I don't think they have grounds for complaint when they get kicked off of buses for it.
OK, there's a marked difference between getting booted off a bus and getting kicked to death. However, I wouldn't walk through a park in Glasgow after dark in stuff you can buy in M&S and Next so fuck knows why a Goth would think it's a good idea.
I think the whole Goth thing is over my head. I don't mind people wearing leather jackets and having long hair. I used to do it myself. But at no point have I ever seen the appeal of dressing like a Goth. Honestly, I remember when a couple of people started wearing dog collars to school I'd just think 'What the fuck are you doing?!'
Incidentally, did anyone manage to work out if the park in question in that article is dodgy as fuck?
