With Michael Palin yes? I haven't seen any of that material, but I'd really like to.

A tenner sounds like a great bargain!

In Muswell Hill/ Highgate there is a shop called Ripping Yarns, opened by Michael Palin (and possibly Eric Idle).

how about that?!

A tenner does sound like a great bargain indeed!

RY had nothing to do with Eric, it was Palin and Jones. I think Idle was doing Rutland Weekend Television.

I saw an episode the other night on TV. It was the one where Micheal Palin is trying to escape from a German prisoner of war camp. I saw most of them when they were first shown on TV. Very funny...

Escape from Stalag Luft 112B. Absolute classic.
My favourite has to be Tomkinson's Schooldays though "'I was 17 miles from Greybridge before I was caught by the school leopard"

Maybe he just means he had extra-curricular S&M sessions with his teacher.

Just thought this deserved a dump! I've been working my way through the DVD, which I got for Christmas. Ripping Yarns RULES!

So far I've watched Thompkinson's Schooldays, The Testing of Eric Olthwaite, Escape From Stalag Luft 112B, The Curse of the Claw, and Across the Andes By Frog.

This is an essential purchase! I think it's under a tenner as well.
