I agree!

I like A Better Tomorrow too!

but personally I prefer his Master's Chang Cheh works!
I LOVE his cult bloody kung fu films!!!

his early classic The Heroic Ones
featuring Di Long from A Better Tomorrow
I think this films is the best Di Long work ever!
when he protecting his father,
killing hundreds of enemies
finally die with his eyes open and standing,
which have a fucking big impact on me!

but my favorite is his cult classic
the 5 Venoms [aka the 5 deadly venoms]

after the success of 5 venoms
Chang keep working with those actors from 5 venoms
creating many great brutal bloody kung fu films
people call it the "5 venoms era"

here's one of the classic from that era
The Flag Of Iron

Chang Cheh is the best!

Stephen Chow! He is the lord of all hilarious things. Everyone who hasn't seen Shaolin Soccer, go and watch it, right bloody now (and make sure you don't the stupid cut dubbed version, the uncut Hong Kong original is the supreme wonder). Kung Fu Hustle is also good, but not as good as Shaolin Soccer.
