Re: Behold the glory of Judas Priest no more
lets just hope metal doesnt come and go,on a larger scale than ukgarage music
its like the whole 'punk is dead' theory in the early 80s,yet the genre is still going strong but is more low key than when it originally peaked.
i think real rock/metal genres will still thrive but will become more underground, the fanbases will remain dedicated.
all the commercialised, watered down fad bollocks will still remain on our music channels and in our media and will take over the festivals.
i cant believe how many My chemical romance/bullet 4my V sign t shirts/hoodies i spot on a regular basis in my town and at work in the north terminal.
and the sadder thing is its not just teenagers/schoolkids,its adults and dweebs in their 30s+.
although i do see tons of iron maiden shirts when im at work but sometimes i think the people wearing tehm just got it coz they like skulls and cool scary designs and imagery etc.

Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Don't worry about Lemmy, he's basically invincible. I was never really into Priest so can't say I'm that bothered about this.

what a wind up
Wh a load of plonkers. They have the worst PR ever. Any other band would have released a statement with the tour announcement. But instead they just mention it in passing months after their 'final tour' is announced. What an hilarious band.
Anyway I'm not going to see them on this tour now because they've made me really angry. They better make up for this by doing a fully costumed epic performance of Nostradamus in its entirety at the Royal Albert Hall.

Re: Behold the glory of Judas Priest no more
Does anyone know if they plan to do any UK shows that aren't Festival slots? Are there any plans for a tour or aught? Want to take my little bro to see them play while they're still doing the live rounds.
