KEMAKIL studio report

Postby Heavy Metal Bastard on Sun Dec 11, 2011 12:52 pm

Greetings to all in the world of UK thrash!!

As some of you may know, the mighty 'Kil entered the studio at the end of November to record a new shiny disc for your listening pleasure. We spent three days at HVR Studios in the quaint surroundings of Hintlesham Fisheries with Criminal bassist Danny B at the sound desk to record 6 tracks, some of which you'll know, some you might recognise in some form and some stuff you'll have never heard before. The tracks are not mastered yet, but things are sounding really good and hopefully some time soon we'll have something ready for you to wrap your lugholes around. In the meantime, here's a little preview of Rob laying down some vocals on The Persecution of the Hmong to whet your appetite. This is very rough and unmixed material, and there are no solos, so please take note! Its looking like a release wont be coming until at least January, but rest assured this is a big step up for us from the Blood Removal Machines EP, so hopefully people will be pleasantly surprised. We also managed to lay down two drum tracks for two brand new Kemakil songs, so fingers crossed we will be paying Danny another visit in the new year to complete at least those two tracks and hopefully a couple more.

On a side note, anyone looking for a studio to record in, and if you're looking for somewhere in the idyllic Suffolk countryside, Danny is your man. See Criminal, Lock Up and Necroriser for some great examples of his recent work at HVR Studios. :rockdevil:

I vaguely remember something else being released around the same time as BRM... or am I thinking of someone else? Either way, looking forward to it.

It's undoubtedly going to be great. That clip is right up my street. Hmong is the song I remember most from your FTA set... listen to Blood Removal Machines regularly too, it's on my phone. Beasting tunes and no mistake!
