hey I've been playing bass properly for about 9 months and I want to be able to play technical riffs better, I also want to be able to build up the stamina on my strumming fingers aside from loads of practice is there anything else i can do?
thanks.

Re: bassist tips
General finger exercises, stretches.... and break walnuts with your hands.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Re: bassist tips
I don't do anything specific in all honesty, but i am generally the laziest man alive.
i also play with a pick because i find it easier for string skipping and lalala. But that is likely because i played guitar for so long before i got a bass.

Re: bassist tips
relentless practice s all I can suggest. Look at bass players like Ron Broder and STeve DIGiorgio and try and pick stuff up from them.

Re: bassist tips
it's all been said pretty much..
try learning something a bit more technical than you're used to, but start really slowly and build up the speed once you nail the playing technique!!!

No no no. You've got it all wrong. Listen to Cliff Williams and drink until you pass out. It works for me anyway.

As long as that only refers to bass playing we won't have any problems.
